We are seeking a Data Scientist to support our Fortune 100 client, a global provider of healthcare and retail pharmacy services, in building industry-leading analytics, data, and technology platforms to help reimagine health care. This position will play a critical role within a cross-functional team, delivering powerful solutions.
This is a hands-on, junior-level Data Scientist role, requiring a combination of business/stakeholder consulting and data analysis (technical coding, including using machine learning methods).

- Location: Hybrid in Manhattan, NYC (3 days per week onsite required)

What you’ll do:
- The individual will be responsible for running algorithms, delivering price recommendations, bookkeeping, and creating monthly and ad-hoc reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Prepare documentation such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, file specifications, ERDs, wireframes, and pseudocode.
- Make recommendations about data management processes, metric definitions, and evaluation methods.
- Perform analyses in a relational database environment, including development of SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Develop customer-facing dashboards by modeling and aggregating data from multiple databases, source systems, and servers.
- Perform extensive verification and validation testing to ensure results meet functional requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Design and conduct analyses using healthcare claims and services data.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in generating business insights, machine learning and deep learning frameworks
- Strong SQL skills and experience in programming Python or R
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to non-technical audiences, including experience creating communication materials (e.g., memos, slide decks, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong drive to explore data and make a business impact by applying data science to address specific business problems, and a curiosity to deep dive into large data sets.
- Experience with healthcare or pharmaceutical data
- Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
- Ability to proactively identify and mitigate roadblocks and identify solutions
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field

The starting pay range for this role is $50.00 - $60.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
