I am a Talent Attracting Analyst looking for people based in Colombia for a Senior DevOps position to work on a project in the fast food sector.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of the Azure environment, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Infrastructure focus on data platforms and Azure Databricks. These environments are used by the Enterprise Data team to run Analytics and Machine Learning models. Understand how to configure Azure Databricks environments and how to connect it to other services and other networks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations, to ensure a smooth transition and to address any technical issues that arise during the migration process.
- Automation: Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IAC with Terraform), and other automation processes to streamline the migration and ongoing management of the Azure environment.
- Security and Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on security best practices, ensuring that the Azure environment is properly configured and that all necessary compliance standards are met.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools, alerts, and proactive troubleshooting mechanisms to quickly identify and address any performance or reliability issues within the environment.
- Documentation: Document the migration process, configuration, and best practices for the AKS environment, providing valuable resources for the team and future reference.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer specialist in Azure DataBricks, with a strong track record of successful data infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in Azure environments, including containerization, orchestration, Kubernetes, and cloud services.
- Advanced English: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills are essential, as this role requires collaboration with global teams and documentation of the migration process.
- Automation Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI/CD), infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Security: Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including network configuration, access controls, and encryption.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges.
Team Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
