NIGHT SHIFT HR SUPERVISOR
General Summary: The JBS Sanitation team is seeking an HR Supervisor. This role will be based in Louisville, Kentucky. The HR Supervisor will be essential in overseeing HR functions for our Sanitation team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, a strong communicator, have strong problem solving skills, and thrive on supporting a busy, fast-paced work force.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day to day administration of personnel policies and practices
- Recommend program changes or enhancements to improve the department
- Assist with the preparation of separation notices for employees and may conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation
- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve absenteeism and turnover
- Partner with management to advice and counsel on employee issues
- Spend time on the production floor to better support operations
- Provide facility supervision on employee relations matters, including: investigations, resolving conflict, and communications
- Oversee training throughout the plant, including new hire orientation through qualification phase and annual training.
- Perform disciplinary procedures ranging from verbal warnings to terminations

Ensure regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc
- Stay current on federal, state, and case law changes and monitor labor law updates for changes that affect HR
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in a related field (however, additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement)
- Ability to work with SAP and Kronos systems
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work 6 days a week and to have a flexible schedule when needed
- Ability to motivate and challenge team members in a positive manner
- Trustworthy with confidential and sensitive material
