What will you be bringing to the team?
- Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-grade Java applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks for Java-based applications and stay up-to-date with emerging trends
- Design and implement system integrations, Microservices architecture, and APIs to connect various components and services
- Establish best practices for coding standards, design patterns, and code reviews, ensuring clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Mentor and guide developers, helping them solve complex technical challenges and fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Work closely with stakeholders, Project Managers, Analysts, Clients and other Architects to align the technical direction with business goals
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and optimized application performance
- Create and maintain technical documentation for system architecture, design specifications, and development processes
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Java development, with at least 3 years in an Architectural role
- Extensive knowledge of Java, Java EE, Spring Framework, and Hibernate
- Experience with Microservices architecture and Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and web services
- Solid understanding of databases and experience with database optimization
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) would be an asset
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like Angular or React would be an advantage
- Experience in DevOps practices and automation would be nice to have
