Delta Solutions and Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join a high-performance team working within the US Space Command (USSPACECOM) J58 Assessments Division. The Assessment Division is responsible for the USSPACECOM Campaign Assessment, Annual Joint Assessment (AJA) and Global Campaign Plan (GCP) Assessments. The focus of this position is to support J58 Assessment Division with the USSPACECOM Campaign Plan and Multinational Force Campaign Plan, Chairman’s Risk Assessment, and Joint Force Readiness Review.  The Campaign Assessment Analyst works closely and cross-functionally with the Strategic Assessment Analyst in the Division.   The ideal candidate for this position possesses significant experience (6+ years) performing Assessments at the Combatant Command or Component level, is well versed in Joint Staff assessment processes, and is proficient in relevant operations research analytical methods and applying analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Business Intelligence, or Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE).   Anticipated award March 2025 What you will be doing:
  • Conducting three large assessments and 2-3 small assessments per year, plus smaller assessments as customer needs and workload allow.
  • Data collection, organization, analysis, interpretation, and reporting, using various analytical methods, including statistical analysis, in support of campaign plan assessment process. This includes using and input of information into systems of record for USSPACECOM Campaign Plan and Multinational Force Campaign Plan, Chairman’s Risk Assessment, and Joint Force Readiness Review reporting.
  • Advise the Government on assessment methodology and translating relevant data into decision-quality information and products and support Government personnel in developing and maintaining the USSPACECOM assessments process.
  • Draft and complete assessments for government approval to be entered into the assessment system of record.  Assessments include USSPACECOM Campaign Plan Assessment, Multinational Force Campaign Plan Assessment, Chairman’s Risk Assessment, and the Joint Force Readiness Review.
  • Develop and recommend relevant assessment indictors such as measures of performance and measures of effectiveness to enhance the assessment planning process and identify trends in the operational environment that affect the campaign plan execution.
  • Coordinate across the command and provide briefings, presentations, and reports to senior level military personnel. Coordinate process and methodology with other J5 assessment branches.
  • Perform studies and assessments of issues arising in various difficult and complex areas related to space and national security and brief and develop products for US Government agents to assist with the assessment decision making process.
  • What you will need:
  • Six or more years of experience planning and conducting J5 Assessments and orchestrating Assessments processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE).  Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) and implementing analytical techniques in Microsoft Excel desired. 
  • Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis, and recommendations for space missions and program challenges.
  • Ability to successfully operate at the General Officer / Flag Officer (GO/FO) level. 
  • Has the specific skills, knowledge, and comprehension to perform all task functions quickly and accurately without supervision or assistance.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS in an operations research or similar analytically intensive field desired
  • TS/SCI clearance; ability to gain Special Access Program (SAP) and Special Technical Operations (STO) clearances.

    In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $145,000-$155,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
