Fraport Greece is seeking to cover an IT&T Project Manager to support, oversee and ensure the delivery of various IT and telecommunications projects within the organization in the areas of system infrastructure, airport operations, business software applications and information security.
The ideal candidate will possess a mix of technical expertise and project management skills, allowing him/her to coordinate and deliver IT projects on time, monitor its budget while adhering to the company’s standards and processes.

What you will be doing:
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and manage IT and Telecommunications projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, milestones.
- Maintain effective communication internally & externally throughout the project lifecycle and provide updates on progress.
- Support technical experts in writing projects’ Scope of Works and reviews them.
- Identify and manage project risks, as well as resolve any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate project deliverables, approvals and set priorities when choices of alternatives are required.
- Conduct project reviews to assess performance and prepare relevant reports.
- Ensure project documentation and repository are consistently maintained.
- Manage EU funded projects implementation.
- Execute the provisions outlined in the contract.
- Monitor the costs related to contracts and projects.
- Supervise and coordinate the project team as required by the project.
- Manage and solve problems as well as resolve conflicts between project team members and escalate issues as needed.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and a minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role, ex. support engineer, field engineer, solution architect.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using project management tools, e.g. MS Project, Primavera or equivalent.
- Prior experience in delivering IT projects (varying in size, scope & complexity), both software and infrastructure related, by managing the entire projects’ lifecycle, from concept definition to operation.
- Having basic understanding of finance and experience with budgeting processes is an advantage.
- Experience in executing contracts.
- Experience in using Information Technology Service Management tools will be appreciated.
- Sufficient knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure and Library practices will be highly appreciated.
- Knowledge of the procedures required to submit EU funded projects (e.g. Horizon Europe) is a plus.
- Knowledge on IT infrastructure, including network design, server management, virtualization, and security protocols such as VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco and Fortinet will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge on Private Radio Networks (PRNs) and understanding of access control systems, surveillance technology (Video Management System and Closed Circuit TV) and attendance systems will be greatly valued.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices essential to protecting telecom networks, cloud-based solutions, and enterprise infrastructure from advanced, persistent threats.
- Fluent in written and spoken Greek and English language is mandatory.
