IT System Owner
Job Purpose:
The IT System/Product Owner is a pivotal role responsible for the administration and evolution of key technology platforms within the organization. This individual will oversee the day-to-day development, report management, implementation, and adoption of critical systems, ensuring continuous development and compliance with industry standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the organization’s technology platforms, ensuring their alignment with business needs.
- Develop and maintain the system’s roadmap, prioritizing enhancements and new features.
- Lead development sprints and release efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Provide system support for both internal and external users, addressing technical challenges as they arise.
- Manage system activations/deactivations and oversee the launch and adoption of new technologies.
- Act as the main point of contact for all system-related inquiries within the organization.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, carrying out validation activities following system changes.
- Update SOPs, user guides, and training materials as needed, and develop implementation and training plans.
- Participate in client audits, supporting any system-related questions.
- Support incident investigation and CAPA development and completion.
- Review system KPIs and metrics, performing periodic reviews to ensure optimal performance.
- Generate in-depth reports for business purposes and maintain a tracking system for invoicing.
- Keep leadership and stakeholders informed of any system-related operational deficiencies, risks, or issues, proposing mitigation plans.
- Provide system demonstrations and training to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support pre-award requests for information and capabilities presentations for bid defense as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Proven experience in system administration or product ownership, preferably in a technology-focused role.
- Strong understanding of the system development life cycle, GxP Validation and 21 CFR Part11, agile methodologies, and project management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications or training in technology platforms and compliance regulations are advantageous.
