EquipmentShare is Hiring an IT Support Technician

EquipmentShare seeking an IT Support Technician with the option of remote work. This position provides basic to advanced support for all of our EquipmentShare locations supporting our IT team as the department continues to grow.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • First line of support in troubleshooting; respond to requests for technical
    assistance by phone call, in person, email, Slack, or our ITSM platform
  • Provide IT support for all EquipmentShare locations during business hours
  • Provide Audio / Visual support for events during and outside of normal business
    hours
  • Travel to and provide support for local Corporate locations
  • Assist users with connectivity issues with devices, monitors, printers, etc
  • Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to research problems and find
    solutions
  • Assist with device upgrades to make sure data is carried over to the new device
  • Develop training materials, such as manuals and visual displays
  • Train new users with software and hardware over the phone, in person or in
    virtual environments
  • Assist Implementation team as needed with onboarding new employees
  • Assist with offboarding procedures
  • Set up devices for upcoming projects by installing needed software
  • Be a part of the on-call rotation after business hours, including weekends
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Audio / Visual support experience required
    ● Associate’s degree in computer science or related field OR 2+ years of
    experience working in a help desk environment/customer service environment
    preferred
    ● Proficiency with both Mac and Windows, mobile devices and other tech products
    ● Detail oriented with ability to keep detailed notes on tickets
    ● Ability to diagnose and resolve basic to advanced computer technical issues
    ● Good problem solving, analytical, and team working skills
    ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    ● Customer oriented, empathetic and cool tempered
    ● Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and follow through

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel (3-4 trips per year)
