IT Support Specialist

As an IT Support Specialist at Eurofins, you'll provide technical support across Australia and New Zealand, primarily focusing on front-end systems such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. While your main responsibilities will involve user support and troubleshooting, you'll also gain exposure to back-end systems and participate in various IT projects.

Key accountabilities include but not limited to:

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Build strong relationships with departments and end users to enhance IT service cooperation and understanding.
  • Technical Support: Apply your desktop troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently. Escalate problems when needed, while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure prompt responses.

  • Ticket Management: Prioritise and handle support tickets in the ticketing system. Adhere to established procedures for resolving tickets and keep thorough documentation.

  • System Maintenance: Perform essential backup, maintenance, and asset management tasks to ensure IT system integrity and availability. Contribute to adopting best practices to enhance IT operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the businesses you support. Foster engagement with IT services to address their needs and requirements.

  • Project Support: Provide critical technical support to project teams and contribute to the successful completion of IT projects.
  • Compliance: Adhere to Eurofins Group standards, security protocols, and policies. Uphold the Eurofins code of ethics in all aspects of your role.

  • Certificate IV, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in a relevant IT field (e.g., IT Hardware, Systems Administration, Networking) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a Service Desk or Junior Admin role is an advantage.

About you

  • Strong verbal and written English skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and responsibilities independently.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft end-user environments, mobile solutions, devices, and networking.
  • Eager to learn and adapt, with a proactive attitude towards acquiring new skills and knowledge.
