IT Support Engineer

Freshworks is looking to hire an IT Engineer to support the rapidly growing user base in our Utrecht Operations. You will provide desktop, infrastructure, and network support in this role.

  • Manage and deploy corporate PCs/Laptop (new hardware configuration, image maintenance, Backup, diagnosis, and repair, coordinate warranty repairs)
  • General IT-related tasks, including onboarding of new hires, diagnosing and repairing end-user IT devices, and general IT ticket management
  • Analyzes, logs, tracks, and resolves complex software/hardware matters of significance about networking connectivity issues, printers, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
  • Coordinates and monitors system and network operations, detects and troubleshoots problems, and maintains system event documentation to ensure continuous functionality. Recommends and implements approved solutions.
  • Oversees the installation of client department-specific applications and systems.
  • Inventory and maintain IT asset data (serial numbers, software keys, locations, etc.)
  • Shipping, recycling, and disposal of computers, peripherals
  • Ensures installations follow appropriate operating procedures; determines revisions or updates to installation as needed.
  • Ensuring that AV hardware and software is prepared to meet the organization's needs.
  • Coordinates testing, upgrades, and configuration of system files and services.
  • Ensures changes follow appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based on results. Prepares for and prescribes approaches to possible downstream implications.
  • Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes. 
  • 1-2 years in an IT desktop, support, administrator, or similar role
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Dutch
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Deep experience with MS Windows and Mac OS
  • Experienced with Rukcus/ Palo AltoNetwork Topology
  • Experience with Slack, GSuite, Office365, AD, Jamf, Intune, and Zoom 
  • PC/Mac hardware repair, troubleshooting
  • Ability to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain all types of software
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Extreme customer focus
  • Highly motivated individual with experience getting things done in a fast-paced environment.
