IT Support Associate (PART-TIME)

THE POSITION

The IT Support Associate will support Parse employees around the globe, both in-person (in our Seattle HQ) and remotely, with the technology they need to succeed at Parse. You will be the first point of contact for IT requests, assist with troubleshooting, facilitate user account setup, and escalate issues as needed. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a desire to learn new things, and who enjoys helping others.

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL

• Create and manage user accounts across Microsoft Active Directory and Google Workspace
• Triage and respond to IT tickets in a timely manner, providing Tier 1/2 support via Slack, email, and in person
• Escalate advanced IT issues after performing appropriate troubleshooting and research
• Recommend security best practices to users as needed
• Prepare and deploy computers and necessary equipment as directed by management. 
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of hardware at all times.
• Help troubleshoot network and Wi-Fi issues, such as connectivity issues, firewall settings, assist with monthly network maintenance
• Suggest updates to standard operating procedures as needed
• Maintain organized workspaces

FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR

• Strong working knowledge in Windows 10+ and macOS
• Experience in a customer service role (IT or other)
• A desire to work a 20-25 hour work week (within office hours of 7am to 6pm Pacific; 3+ weekdays, onsite in SLU office)
• Ability to learn basic mail routing (Microsoft Exchange, Gmail), SSO concepts (OKTA), and MDM settings (JAMF, Intune)
• High attention to detail with the ability to solve technical problems with minimal guidance
• Understanding of common security issues, such as phishing, malware, and impersonation scams
• Ability to communicate technical information to clients with varying technical skill levels
