IT Project Technician

Annual Salary: £27,000- £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Line Manager: Chris Outram, IT Manager

Do you have a passion for delivering IT projects to the highest standard? Do you have a background in IT Infrastructure but recognise the value in moving to cloud technologies? and are you a problem solver? 

Our Technology team is looking for a customer centric individual to join our ever growing company. Twinkl has grown from a team of just under 600 people in 2018, to over 1,500 people present day! We are looking for an individual who wants to support a rapidly growing, awe inspiring education company in its next step of growth.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Working independently through key IT Projects, involving:
    • Endpoint Security - Patching, AV, Device Encryption & Endpoint Management
    • Phishing Awareness
    • Windows 11
    • GCPW & Google Workspace
    • IT Systems Consolidation
    • Maintaining existing infrastructure
    • Windows Server, Active Directory & Common Services
    • Ubiquiti Wireless
    • Sophos XG Firewall
    • Dell Switch Stack
    • Consistently performing required daily infrastructure checks

The IT team is highly customer focused, this means we should aim to support our customers with our service and ability to swiftly resolve issues. This position contributes to this by suggesting solutions to issues the rest of the team may struggle with.

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Have past experience of project delivery, be comfortable with working independently and adjusting your approach as deadlines approach.
  • Have knowledge of Sophos XG Firewalls, Windows Server 2016
  • You’ll be a kind, compassionate individual, comfortable with both honesty and empathy.
  • You’re excited to provide solutions to IT problems.
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • The ability to methodically troubleshoot until the issue is resolved.

In this role, you will learn:

  • Service Level Management
  • An in depth understanding of our IT systems and processes
  • Asset life-cycle management

Requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in an IT department
  • IT Degree, or other relevant qualifications or experience.
  • You will be someone who has an understanding of IT diagnostics and Windows troubleshooting
  • Adobe suite experience is an advantage.
