The Opportunity:

Working flexibly from our Cyprus office, you will be joining Rimes at a time of growth as we continue to scale our operations in the UK and globally. You will be working in the Delivery Excellence group, in the COO area, who are responsible for driving optimisation, scaling and transforming the organisation for growth.

Your role will be to manage one or more internal projects being executed as part of the strategic transformation.  You will be responsible for project co-ordination and delivery across all relevant internal teams to achieve the desired outcomes; including planning, defining, and delivering from idea to implementation, risk and issue management and weekly status reporting.  You will also be responsible for running the appropriate governance forums with internal stakeholders, to exec level, to ensure transparency and delivery against business objectives, aligned to Rimes strategy, within the Rimes collaborative culture and engagement ethos.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT PM to join a very active Transformation organisation and have the opportunity lead and deliver projects, both technical IT and change projects which will transform our current organisation. Ideally the candidate will have specific expertise in managing service delivery initiatives and infrastructure migration projects and the required cultural change that goes alongside those initiatives.


As a key member of the Delivery Excellence team, you will also be expected to utilise your project management experience to support the industrialisation of PM processes for internal projects.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Mobilisation
    • Engagement with Project sponsor to analyse problem statement / shape / plan / scope project and mobilise effort
    • May require current state / target state analysis and definition of TOM
  • Project Planning
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining the scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, critical path, dependencies and budget for ongoing reporting, monitoring and reviews
  • Programme / Project Status Reporting including RAID
    • Maintain accurate project documentation including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Proactively monitor project risks / issues throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Overall management of critical path and internal / external dependencies
    • Monitoring of business outcomes for strategic projects for exco reporting - creation of working group / SteerCo reporting packs for governance forums
  • Governance and Stakeholder Management
    • Identification of all relevant internal / external stakeholders
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders including IT teams, business units, vendors, and external partners to ensure alignment of project goals and expectations.
    • Conduct working group to ensure that project executes on plan / impacted stakeholders are informed of required actions and held account for delivery
    • Conduct SteerCo with appropriate exco level stakeholders where necessary, to ensure that project delivery against strategic objectives has appropriate scrutiny and SteerCo members are well informed
  • Communication
    • Facilitate clear and effective communication channels among project team members and stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and issues.
  • Plan management / Resource Allocation
    • Forecast effort required and resource requirements
    • Monitor resource allocation and burn rate and highlight changing resource allocation if necessary
    • Track budget forecast against actuals
  • Change Management:
    • Develop and implement change management strategies to minimize resistance and ensure smooth adoption of new service delivery processes and infrastructure changes.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish quality standards and metrics to evaluate project deliverables and ensure alignment with requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within service delivery and infrastructure management practices.
  • Educate team members in project management principles, methods, processes, and tools.
  • Team Management:
    • Set up of the team with the appropriate experience to support the required processes
    • Definition and documentation of the appropriate processes

 

What we are looking for:

  • Industry
    • In-depth knowledge IT PM delivery of both technical and change projects, with a good knowledge of “what good looks like” in IT / Service Delivery (at least 8-10 years IT PM experience)
    • Knowledge of ITSM
    • Knowledge of Financial Services industry
    • Experience of working for a company which provides services to external Clients or has experience in Service Delivery type organisations likely in IT area
  • Project Delivery
    • Excellent understanding of IT project management discipline and change management competence
  • General characteristics
    • Experienced leader and manager of globally distributed teams, motivational and encouraging leader who leads by example
    • Driven, proactive, self-starter, with a can-do attitude, who is comfortable going outside their remit to get the job done
    • Comfortable working in a small organisation – brings experience and expertise and is prepared to get into the detail to get things done
    • Pragmatic approach to problem solving - who can influence / persuade and bring people with them on the change journey

    • Flexible with inquisitive nature, who wants to understand how things work

    • Ability to engage with stakeholders effectively and surface the required information – whether exco or team member level
    • Team player with a proven client-orientation and external client delivery experience
