IT Project Manager

We're hiring an IT Project Manager!

The Role:
As an IT Project Manager at Plexus, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-value initiatives by leading cross-functional project teams and driving end-to-end execution. Your role will involve orchestrating complex, multi-faceted IT and business projects with precision, using advanced project management methodologies. Success in this role is measured by your ability to deliver Plexus products and services on time, within scope and budget, while exceeding stakeholder expectations.

What You Will Accomplish (KPIs):

  • Manager medium to large-scale projects and translate Scrum projects sprints into waterfall terminologies and methodologies.
  • Develop stakeholder relationships through transparent communication, proactive risk management, and expectation alignment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early, mitigating deviations from baselined project schedules and budgets.
  • Implement process improvements that reduce project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Execution:
    • Take full ownership of all project phases, from gathering business requirements to delivering final outcomes.
    • Monitor and control scope, resources, schedule, budget, and quality, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed standards.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build strong relationships across the organization, facilitating collaboration and alignment across IT, business units, and external partners.
    • Manage conflicting priorities, resolve issues efficiently, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Planning & Tracking:
    • Lead planning meetings, define deliverables and timelines, assign resources, and create dynamic project schedules.
    • Track progress meticulously through milestones, dependencies, risks, and change requests.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize delivery processes and drive organizational efficiency.
    • Conduct Critical Path Analyses to anticipate and mitigate potential project delays.

Performance-Based Qualifications:

  • Educational Foundation:
    • Associate degree in Project Management, Business Management, or equivalent work experience required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field preferred.
  • Proven Expertise:
    • 4+ years of project management experience, including traditional (Waterfall) and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
    • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects in Finance, IT, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Product Development.
    • 3+ years applying Lean Process Improvement with a proven track record of efficiency gains.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient with project management technologies and methodologies (ex. Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira)
    • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business language for stakeholders.
    • Skilled in using project governance tools and adhering to PMO standards and templates.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: PMP (Project Management Professional).
    • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Solution-Oriented Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Capable of leading teams through ambiguity with clear communication and accountability.
    • Known for anticipating obstacles, offering solutions, and ensuring timely, high-quality project outcomes.
