The IT Project Manager (Federal Programs) supports clients in large, complex homeland security and emergency management federal programs. They have at least 10 years of experience in technology and consulting. They have experience using methods to conduct analysis and define solutions, leading technical teams in defining and executing workstreams, directly supporting clients, and understanding how to manage complex projects for the federal government. Ideal candidates have a PMP certification.
IT Project Managers are Project Leaders that have experience structuring workstreams, leading consultants and technologists, and providing consulting, strategy, and strategic communications for the federal government. Ideal candidates bring an innovative mindset, experience managing consulting projects, and a desire to provide trusted advice to clients and stakeholders. They have a strong track record of leading teams supporting complex projects by providing exceptional supervision and management of people, tasks, and deliverables. They understand the information technology lifecycle and have expertise in navigating change management related to technology programs.
Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and, as approved, remotely on a part-time basis. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at the time of employment.
Responsibilities:
Manage complex, high-profile technical task areas for Government clients in consulting and information technology
Apply consulting and management methods to structure and deliver complex projects
Manage and control quality and administrative aspects of task areas to align with contract requirements
Deliver outstanding client service and act as a trusted adviser on organizational capability-building and change initiatives
Manage a technical team and provide mission and innovation-focused support on management consulting projects for the Federal Government with firm deliverables and deadlines
Lead initiatives to implement company strategy, grow new business, and develop our capabilities
Contribute to our company culture, which promotes client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and develop
Required Qualifications:
10 years of experience in consulting related to large, complex programs with a focus on information technology
Management of information technology teams that support a range of software, engineering, and technical support activities
Strong understanding of Agile and incremental software development, with proven oversight, coordination, adherence to federal software development lifecycle methodology, and management of outputs
Knowledge and experience using Jira to manage software development, backlogs, workflows, and task tracking.
Oversight of test planning and execution on large software systems
Capability to review governmental policies and articulate and document engineering and information technology implications
Experience with data analytics and reporting software, such as Tableau and Power BI.
Experience gathering requirements, designing, and developing solutions for mission critical projects and activities
Direct experience on Federal government projects and in complex environments.
Experience managing all aspects of a consulting project – including client satisfaction, scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality, and stakeholder engagement – with formal project management processes, methods, and tools
Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic and mission-critical environment and proven skills in developing strong client relationships
Ability to integrate efforts across projects and workstreams to achieve client goals in a dynamic environment with demanding stakeholders
Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment where candidates work directly with senior-level clients and contributing to company growth through new business and strategic initiatives
Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
Strong interest in homeland security missions (e.g., emergency management, cybersecurity, etc.) and a passion for excellent client satisfaction and collaborating and developing others
Ability to lead a team in a hybrid environment and work on site with the client
Clearance: US Citizenship required (no dual citizenship) / ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in technology or consulting or a related field
