We are seeking an IT Project Manager for a 2-year contract in Denver, CO.  This role can telecommute/work remote until it is determined to report to the office in Denver, CO.  

 

In this role, you will be on the ground floor of major initiative being rolled out in 2023.  This project will include several components of technology to include a foundational document management system, the stand up of a call center, and the build out of a dual system allowing for collection and disbursement of funds. You will represent the technology components, ensuring appropriate integrations of all systems and that the mission is met as designed via vendor engagement/s and the enterprise.  This major project will have Waterfall and Agile components of management associated with it as the organization is migrating from Waterfall to Agile Delivery. Additional responsibilities of this role are as follows: 

 

  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to defined timelines and within the allocated budget. 
  • Ensuring that business and end users are consulted with and their input garnered for the project at hand.
  • Use appropriate project management tools, reports, templates, mentoring, training, and coaching to IT project teams. 
  • Work directly with staff, as well as vendors and, when necessary, in fulfilling and carrying out the requirements of assigned IT projects. 
  • Utilize project management best practices, including risk management, quality management, change management, change control and communication.
  • Manage by providing leadership, collaboration, supervision, training, guidance and support to all IT project team members on assigned projects. 
  • Participate in the delivery of this service who is strong in the governing principles of project management, and is capable of driving Agile methodologies, as well. 



 

  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Solid understanding of Waterfall methodology
  • Understand Agile Methodology
  • Must be a strong communicator and facilitator
  • Must have strong conflict management skills
  • Must have strong team building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scrum Master or Product Owner Certification
  • Agile Experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with Governance Models

This 2 year contract role will be located in Denver, CO. This role will start off remote until it is determined to report onsite to the office in Denver.  Due to this, interested candidates who currently reside in the Denver area or interested candidates who will be relocating to the Denver area are encouraged to apply.
