Engineering at Brex

The Engineering team includes Data, IT, Security, and Software, and is responsible for building innovative products and infrastructure for both internal and external users. We have multiple autonomous and collaborative teams who are eager to learn, teach, and constantly improve how things work. Together, we strive to build robust and scalable systems that enable Brex to grow rapidly and help our customers reach their full potential.

What you’ll do

You will be supporting the various IT needs of Brex employees across all departments and teams. Primarily, your role will be to unblock other employee's work by resolving tickets quickly and efficiently. You will give excellent customer service by utilizing creative thinking and problem-solving skills. You will work within the IT Support Team to build more mature systems and support IT projects across many teams.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our Vancouver office. You must be willing to work in office 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Support IT requests and troubleshooting in office
  • Manage IT inventory onsite
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues for Mac, PC, and AV systems
  • Support various IT Systems including Slack, G Suite, Jamf, Okta, Jira, Mac, PC, Zoom, and more
  • Identify Mac and PC hardware issues, and work with external vendors to provide repairs and replacements
  • Troubleshoot network issues (DNS, VPN, and WiFi)

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience
  • Onsite position
  • Strong Apple support experience
  • Desire to learn new technologies and skills
  • Ability to handle support tickets in line with SLAs
  • Must be willing to work in office 5 days per week

Bonus points

  • Jamf MDM experience
  • Zoom Room configuration experience
  • Experience supporting large meeting AV needs
  • Corporate IT experience

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $64,000 - $80,000 CAD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
