Purpose & Scope
Provide technical oversight of a multi-site enterprise level WAN, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position will be responsible for maintaining the network and computer systems for Dalhart including both hardware and software.
Principal Responsibilities Functions may include but are not limited to:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
- Install computer peripherals for users
- Coordinate maintenance of security cameras and systems
- Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center
- Work closely with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of the network
Travel: Frequent travel 30-mile radius. Periodic travel out of area.
Required Qualifications
- Integrity
- Associates Degree or comparable experience: Computer Science or related field
- Proficient understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
- Analyzing Information
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Strong problem solving skills that allow you to identify problems within an organization's computer network
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Right to work in the US not based solely on possession of a student visa or visa sponsored by a third party employer
- Understand bio-security
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work weekends as needed/be on call
- Ability to lift and install equipment/hardware for network systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree - Computer Science or related field
- Previous IT Management experience
