IT Operation Center Team Leader

The Operation Center Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Operation Center team, ensuring the smooth running of IT systems and batch processing jobs.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of operators.

Key Tasks:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Onboard and train new team members
    • Assign tasks and manage team workload
    • Provide guidance and support to team members
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
  • System Monitoring and Batch Processing:
    • Oversee system monitoring activities, ensuring timely response to alerts and incidents
    • Monitor the execution of batch jobs, identifying and resolving issues
    • Implement new monitoring and automation tools
  • Incident Management:
    • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and implement improvements
    • Develop and maintain incident management procedures
    • Communicate incident status to stakeholders
  • Shift Management:
    • Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage
    • Coordinate handoffs between shifts to minimize disruptions
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously identify opportunities to improve Operation Center processes and procedures
    • Implement automation and streamlining techniques to increase efficiency
    • Develop and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures
  • Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, system monitoring, and batch processing
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and incident management processes

It would be a real bonus if you have 

  • Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. PagerDuty, NetCool, Grafana)
  • Knowledge of batch processing concepts and tools (e.g. Zena)
  • Experience in SIEM and EDR solutions (Splunk, Sentinel, Wazuh, Defender)
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
