About the Position
The Golden State Warriors are looking for an experienced and self-motivated IT Network Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will help manage, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and secure our network infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WLAN) and data center. Our network spans two arenas (Chase Center and KP Arena) and three office locations (San Francisco, Oakland, and Santa Cruz). The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and a proactive mindset to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our network. This position reports to the Senior Director, Information Technology.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for WAN, LAN, WLAN, and data center technologies across multiple locations
- Manage and troubleshoot network switches (Aruba, Cisco), routers (Juniper, Cisco), and next-gen firewalls (Palo Alto Networks, Cisco)
- Oversee high-density wireless network infrastructure (Aruba Aps, ClearPass, Mobility, Airwave) within our arenas, ensuring seamless performance
- Proactively monitor, diagnose, and resolve network issues, minimizing impact and maintaining optimal network performance
- Ensure network performance and availability align with organizational goals and SLAs
- Collaborate with the IT Security team to identify, evaluate, and implement network security controls, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with security policies
- Recommend and lead network projects that align with the organization’s long-term objectives
- Track, document, and resolve network changes and incidents in line with IT change management protocols
- Maintain detailed LAN, WAN, and WLAN documentation, including network diagrams and configuration records
- Organize and maintain structured network cabling in data centers and IDFs to support effective network operations
- Provide on-site network support during game-day or event-day operations
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent network engineering experience
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- Minimum 3 years designing, deploying, and supporting WLAN and LAN/WAN technologies (Aruba preferred); experience supporting network environments in retails and/or entertainment venues is a plus
- Aruba certifications (ACSP, ACMA) are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of network management, high-availability designs, QoS, and capacity planning
- Extensive experience with WLAN architecture, including authentication, security, and management tools
- Hands-on experience with next-gen firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), wireless troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools
- Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS) and VPN solutions.
- Proficiency in Layer 2 technologies (Spanning Tree, VTP, 802.1Q, Dynamic/Private VLANs) and Layer 3 routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP)
- Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
- Analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Able to prioritize with minimal supervision, escalating issues when appropriate
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
- Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
Time Commitment
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed
Compensation
- $120,000 - 130,000 + Bonus
