The IT Manager for the Caribbean region will be responsible for all Rentokil Initial (RI) Group and local IT Systems, Applications (including Mobile), Infrastructure, Information Security, and related technology. This role will ensure that RI Group IT Standards and Governance is enforced and maintained according to group methods, standards, and processes. The IT Manager will also be responsible for IT risk management and serve as the IT representative and owner for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities across the Caribbean. This role forms part of the Caribbean region’s leadership team and also involves collaboration with the Latin America Regional IT, Group IT infrastructure and Systems Product teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure, Systems & Applications Management:
- Oversee all Group and local IT systems, applications (including mobile), and infrastructure
- Ensure the performance, capacity, and availability of IT infrastructure
- Information Security & Risk Management:
- Maintain and enforce Group IT Standards and Governance (Policy & Processes)
- Manage IT risk and ensure IT security measures are in place, this includes during M&A activities
- M&A Activities:
- Lead IT Due Diligence, IT Integration Planning, Budgeting, and Mandatory "Day 1" IT Security activities
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with LATAM Regional IT colleagues, Group IT infrastructure, and Systems Product teams
- Project Management:
- Manage and provide local support for IT projects across the Caribbean region
- Ensure adherence to the Group’s IT Project Management Office (PMO) Process and Methodology
- Manage the deployment of new and enhanced software applications, systems, and IT infrastructure
- IT Budgeting & Reporting:
- Together with the Caribbean region’s Area Director and leadership team, define the annual IT budget and manage financial requirements, including Opex and Capex
- Oversee the region’s IT procurement to ensure purchases are aligned with group standards and is accompanied by the required business cases, where appropriate
- Report IT budgeting and performance to the Caribbean leadership team
- Third-Party IT Service Management:
- Manage contracts and performance of third-party IT service providers in various Caribbean markets/countries
- Provide end-user support (physically or remotely), or through in-country IT service providers
- Communication & Training:
- Ensure the availability of communication, training, and self-learning materials for user adoption of new and updated IT applications and hardware
- Inventory & Asset Management:
- Responsible for IT inventory and asset management
- Maintain the Group's Service Management platform (ServiceNow) for all IT-related incidents, requests, and changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or Equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- A Masters degree would be an asset
- Minimum 7 - 8 years experience in a similiar role with progressive career growth and experience leading teams
- Proven Technical and IT management experience, preferably in a regional role
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and information security
- Experience with IT risk management and IT governance
- Hands-on experience in managing IT projects and M&A activities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage budgets and third-party IT service providers
- Proficiency in using IT Service Management Processes and Platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Google Workspace: Experience in managing and supporting Google Workspace environments
- Microsoft Products: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, and Microsoft 365
- Server Support: Knowledge of server management, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- End User Technologies: Familiarity with end-user devices and technologies, including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- IT Security Tools: Experience with IT security tools and practices, including firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption
- Software Application Support: Ability to support and troubleshoot software applications
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and wireless networks
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel within the Caribbean region as needed
- Ability to work in a matrix reporting environment
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French or other regional languages would be an advantage
