About the Role:
We are seeking our founding IT Lead. At AngelList, teams are explicitly small, and built on mutual respect, high trust, and low overhead. It's not a fit for everyone, but when there's a fit, it’s one of the most rewarding places to work.
As an IT Lead, you will design and implement the IT roadmap that provides over 200 employees with the technology required to make them most productive.
You will:
- Develop and implement automated processes for onboarding and offboarding employees
- Manage the IT services that make Angellist offices (SF, NYC) a great place to work
- Design and implement MDM policies that govern our employee laptops
- Manage and optimize SaaS platforms used across the organization, including but not limited to collaboration tools, productivity suites, and cloud-based applications
- Collaborate with the CISO and other stakeholders to assess IT risks and vulnerabilities, and implement effective security measures to mitigate potential threats
You have
- 5 years of prior experience driving IT projects that improve employee experience and productivity
- A proven track record of automating common IT processes
- Excellent written communication skills — we have a strong writing culture
- A desire to move fast, prioritize, and constantly make critical decisions with a high level of ambiguity
- A self-starter mentality with experience owning the IT function in a fast paced startup

AngelList has offices in three hub cities: San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City that you can choose to work from. We’re focused on hiring within these hubs and people within 1 hour travel distance of the hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week. From time to time, we will make rare exceptions for new hires if they need to be fully remote.
