IT Infrastructure Lead

As Dragonfly’s Infrastructure Lead, you will be the primary technical owner of IT systems and infrastructure for Dragonfly Therapeutics.  This responsibility includes designing, implementing, and operating a robust and secure network and computing environment. You will build strong partnerships with key partners across our organization, to thoroughly understand the technical requirements and be able to develop detailed implementation plans to deliver IT solutions that drive business outcomes.  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and integrity of our critical computer systems. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of cloud architecture, system engineering, server administration and IT practices in the biotechnology industry.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Planning, designing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading IT systems for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks
  • Configure and maintain networking devices, including switches, routers, AV systems and firewalls
  • Configure and maintain server and digital infrastructure, including virtual machines, databases, active directory and group policy
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory IT systems including instrument computers, laboratory software and databases
  • Lead and participate in the change management process
  • Manage technologies including VMware, Windows, and Linux solutions
  • Manage cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, Intune, JAMF and more
  • Architect and deliver identity management and directory services
  • Implement and maintain data protection, backup, and business continuity measures
  • Serve as an escalation path for helpdesk tickets and provide customer support to enhance user experience for all IT issues, supporting both Mac and PC environments
  • Assist with software license renewals and vendor contract management
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of all IT systems
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configuration details, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to address and remediate any cybersecurity vulnerabilities or incidents while continually working to improve security posture and adherence to best practices

Qualifications:

  • A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in IT systems administration or engineering
  • Previous experience in Biotechnology and Laboratory IT systems management strongly preferred
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of Windows and Microsoft environments and a strong competency in PowerShell
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level
  • Ability to surface, prioritize, and balance multiple stakeholder priorities
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence; an ability to align and relate to partners
  • Proven ability of architecting IT solutions, deploying digital solutions and completing projects in a timely manner
  • A strong competency in the management of VMWare, Intune, SSO identity providers, RMM tools and Windows Server Administration
