Job Summary:
We are looking for a competent IT Helpdesk Specialist with 1-2 years max of experience in a similar position to provide fast and useful technical assistance to e.construct users on various IT systems. You will answer IT support tickets and email queries on all technical IT issues and offers to solve them in a timely manner, You may also provide physical support presence once needed to other e.construct offices.
An excellent IT Specialist must have the good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively and patiently to understand the problem and provide the solution.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day end users’ general IT helpdesk and support tasks for e.construct regional offices.
- Provide Level (1) helpdesk/ end-user support and escalate incidents if necessary to Level (2) engineers.
- Provide physical support presence when needed to other e.construct offices in Egypt.
- Check and respond quickly and effectively to daily IT requests received through IT helpdesk system.
- Assist in the implementation and support of printers, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP phones, etc.,
- Mitigate, identify, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and workstations.
- Install, configure and maintain needed operating systems, applications, or network upgrades.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software/operating system patches and hardware upgrades.
- Maintain inventory and assets documentation records for all e.construct computing IT assets.
- Provide after-hours support for IT Infrastructure emergencies such as power and hardware failures.
- Train staff on how to use newly acquired software, hardware, and all newly implemented IT services.
- Monitoring IT systems performance, configuration, performing maintenance and required repairs.
- Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance for mission-critical servers and IT resources.
Requirements
- B.S degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Max 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Good knowledge of MCSA/MCITP/CCNA.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and server environments.
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
- Excellent English and communication skills are required.
- ITIL/Microsoft/Cisco certification is a plus.
- Troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
- Team player, patient with a positive attitude.
