About our Office Tech
Our Office Tech team is responsible for managing and maintaining all technology used within Klick's environment. This includes a wide range of tasks, from setting up workstations for new employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, to managing network infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of all technological systems. The Office Tech team is a go-to for any technical issues or needs that arise in the office setting. They're equipped to handle everything from computer setups, network connectivity issues, to troubleshooting software and hardware problems.

Job Description

Work Term: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Our Office Tech is looking for an entry level Help Desk Specialist. This role involves being on the front line of technical support, addressing a wide range of internal technical issues for Klick staff. If you're passionate about technology and dedicated to assisting people, this role is a perfect fit for you. As part of the team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations through resolving technical challenges.

Your mission will be:

  • Being the initial point of contact for internal technical support requests via email, phone, and in person
  • Addressing issues related to desktop computing, application support, and connectivity on both Macintosh and Windows systems (60/40 ratio)
  • Performing moves, adds, and changes (MAC) such as workstation installations, relocations, and upgrades
  • Administering Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Providing support for G Suite tools like Drive, Hangouts, Mail, and Calendaring
  • Patching and updating workstations for both Mac and Windows platforms
  • Handling video conferencing administration, with a preference for Zoom experience
  • Configuring and supporting printers
  • Assisting in office renovations and new build projects
  • Collaborating as part of a local team of "Fixanators" to deliver top-tier technical and customer service
  • Keeping staff informed about time delays related to problem resolution, nature of problems, or outstanding issues
  • Demonstrating a sense of urgency and effective prioritization of support tickets

What Tech Skills You Bring:

  • Proficiency in Mac OSX and Windows 7/10 operating systems
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networking for workstations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Familiarity with G Suite tools such as Drive, Hangouts, Mail, and Calendaring
  • Video conferencing administration, preferably with Zoom
  • Knowledge of printer configuration and support
  • Ability to patch and update workstations on both Mac and Windows platforms
