IT Digitalization Partner - Finance & Regulatory Operations

In this role, you’re accountable for driving a partnership with Finance & Regulatory Reporting functions in a quest to grasp benefits from digitalization, and to strengthen key business enabling capabilities required to realize Statkraft’s ambition.   

Your role

The role will focus on the digitalization and Business IT Development (BIT) activities for the Regulatory Reporting & Finance functions in Markets unit (Back-Office). Close collaboration with Project Manager, Product Owner, Product Manager, IT developers and other digitalization partners and departments across IT is a core to delivering success and quality within this role from an end-to-end perspective. Your responsibilities include:

  • Play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and business, ensuring smooth collaboration. This includes translating business needs into actionable IT solutions, optimizing the use of IT resources, and delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Work closely with business units to deeply understand their core operations, processes, and digital transformation challenges. By leveraging Statkraft IT resources, you will deliver tailored solutions that address business needs and drive new opportunities
  • Identify and promote digitalization opportunities from emerging technologies, while championing Statkraft’s IT strategy and Target Architecture
  • Analyze, document, and clarify business requirements to ensure the IT development team fully grasps business needs and use cases. This process will be aligned with the product backlog planning and prioritization cycle for accurate and timely development
  • Assess opportunities for IT solutions and support across a range of initiatives, from smaller tools to larger projects. Additionally, help determine the most suitable collaborative development model between IT and business teams to ensure effective partnership and delivery
  • Facilitate communication around solution design, implementation, testing, and addressing user-related inquiries, as the primary interface between IT and business users
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives from concept to execution, collaborating closely with key IT teams such as Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Integrations, Infrastructure, Service Delivery Management, Data Platform, and Software Development to ensure seamless delivery
  • Prioritize fostering positive relationships across teams, promoting effective collaboration between both technology and business units
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of agile practices

We are looking for candidates who are high performing individuals with drive and a clear “can do” attitude. The right candidate has a deep interest, motivation and experience in leading business critical IT and digitalization activities. You acknowledge the importance of change management and are motivated by collaborating with skilled colleagues to reach ambitious goals.  

Experience:

  • Higher education in finance, economics, or engineering, and minimum 5 years' work experience, ideally from consulting, digitalization work, or similar roles in trading, risk, or finance
  • Experience from relevant domains, such as IT development, commodity trading, financial risk management, regulatory reporting, energy markets (gas & power)
  • Understanding of the trade lifecycle for major financial & physical asset classes across securities, exchange-traded, and OTC derivatives is desirable
  • Understanding of trade surveillance & transaction regulatory reporting (EU/US; EMIR, REMIT, MIFID) for financial assets, commodity and energy trading is desirable

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships 
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in bridging IT solutions and business needs, collaborating effectively with both technical teams and end-users
  • Skilled process driver with the ability to plan and structure work across diverse teams for high-quality outcomes
  • Interest and understanding for the opportunities enabled by digitalization trends and technologies (e.g. cloud, data platforms, process automation, and user experiences)
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience in optimizing product deliveries. Knowledge of agile and innovative techniques is valued 
  • Proven ability to initiate and drive projects, demonstrating strong corporate navigation skills
