As a dedicated IT Buyer - SaaS (m/f/d) at Sastrify, you will manage all operational SaaS procurement activities on behalf of our customers, working closely with our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure tailored service and strong client relationships. In this role, we are looking for curious people interested in the SaaS world and how to procure software.
What you’ll do as our IT Buyer - SaaS (m/f/d)
- Purchasing Activities
- Customer-Centric Procurement: Be accountable for the success of our customers in the SaaS procurement space, measured by the perceived value of our customers (i.e savings, procurement process implemented)
- Customer Alignment: Collaborate with CSMs to understand each client's objectives and priorities, aligning procurement strategies accordingly.
- Needs Assessment: Identify customer purchasing needs and business requirements through regular discussions and consultations.
- Procurement Execution: Research, select, benchmark, negotiate, and purchase SaaS solutions based on client requirements and objectives.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Act as a facilitator, building strong relationships with vendors on behalf of our clients and negotiating to achieve desired outcomes and improve customer satisfaction (CSAT).
- Project Participation: Engage in specific or more complex SaaS procurement projects for our clients, such as ERP/HRIS implementations.
- Reporting: Report benefits to our client, including achieved savings, process efficiency, etc.
- Process Improvement: Help automate and scale our internal purchasing activities by providing feedback and proposing solutions.
- Vendor & SaaS Knowledge Management
- Knowledge Sharing: Share best SaaS purchasing practices with peers, colleagues, and within Sastrify using various channels and tools.
- Documentation: Capture and document SaaS knowledge, including tool playbook creation and benchmark spreadsheet updates.
- Internal Stakeholder Management
- Team Collaboration: Align with other Sastrify Business Units to provide purchasing insights and best practices.
- Internal Support: Address Slack comments requiring buyer input and serve as a point of escalation for vendor-related issues affecting customers.
Requirements
- You have 2+ years of experience in the field of Procurement and Vendor Management, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- You have strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills as well as a track record of achieving savings and ROI for clients.
- You are a strong communicator and are good at building strong and long-lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders and your peers.
- You are proficient in using different procurement tools and systems.
- You have outstanding written and oral ability in English as well as fluent written and oral German skills, further languages are considered a plus.
- You thrive working remotely (we don't have an office).
- You are based in Spain or Germany (we do not have entities elsewhere)
