We are now seeking an IT and Data Analyst Auditor to join our Internal Audit team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in planning, executing, and managing technology audit assignments as part of the Annual Internal Audit Plan. You will ensure the integrity of technology-related controls and drive data analytics strategies across technology and non-technology audits.

What you'll do
- Conduct audits to assess technology-related controls, evaluating their design, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Lead data analytics efforts in audit reviews, utilising tools like Alteryx, KNIME, SQL, Python, PowerBI, and Tableau to test controls and offer operational insights.
- Develop audit plans for Technology Services, set audit timetables and budgets, and create detailed risk and control matrices. Document key findings and draft reports for senior stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with Technology Services leaders, enhancing audit effectiveness and fostering collaboration.
- Spearhead strategies for using data analytics across various audits, ensuring data gathering aligns with audit goals.
What you'll have
- CISA or equivalent (e.g., IIA QICA) or a related BCS/computer science degree (preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of technology risks in areas such as cyber and information security, user access controls, change management, cloud infrastructure, and disaster recovery.
- Ability to map processes, analyse data flows, and create accurate data requests for audit purposes.
- Proven use of data analytics within audits to test controls and assess efficiency.
- Familiarity with IT Governance and risk management frameworks, especially in risk and control self-assessment testing.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualisation tools, with experience identifying control gaps and devising clear, effective solutions.
- Clear, concise communication skills to present complex issues to senior stakeholders.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of FCA and other financial services regulatory requirements (preferred but not essential)
