IT Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will oversee IT support and licensing, manage hardware and asset operations, ensure timely software patching and maintenance, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. This role is critical to ensuring seamless IT operations, compliance with policies, and alignment with organizational goals.

***This position is based in Karlsruhe, Germany with hybrid working options. Applicants must have a work/residence permit for the respective location.***


Main Responsibilities:

IT Support and Licensing:

  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT support services.

  • Provide assistance to employees with access requests, ensuring appropriate permissions are granted in a timely manner.

  • Address troubleshooting requests related to system or application issues.

  • Execute employee onboarding and offboarding tasks, including provisioning and de-provisioning of accounts and equipment.

Hardware and Asset Management:

  • Coordinate the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of IT hardware assets.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets using asset management tools.

  • Oversee hardware lifecycle management, including upgrades, replacements, and disposals.

Software Patching and Maintenance:

  • Implement and manage processes for regular software updates, patches, and security fixes.

  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to address vulnerabilities promptly.

  • Ensure all systems and applications comply with security policies and standards.

Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate support.

  • Communicate IT policies, changes, and updates effectively across the organization.

  • Serve as the point of contact for escalated IT operational issues.
