THE ROLE: 
We’re looking for an experienced Negotiator to join a new project team. You will be responsible for reviewing agreements and handling escalations. We’re currently working through a large volume of contracts for a banking client, and we’re looking for someone who has experience negotiating end capital market documentation, specifically ISDA, CSA and Repo agreement types.

Specifically, the Negotiator will:
Manage client-facing deliverables to the highest standards of quality
Identify risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans
Pro-actively manage and monitor execution of deliverables and status
Assist with the management of the projects critical path, dependencies, and contingencies
Ensure the project stakeholders' expectations are understood and managed
Oversee the adherence to all Factor’s Methodologies and quality assurance processes
 Review large volume of contracts efficiently and accurately, working closely with the team to achieve a high-quality output
Read complex agreements, including financial services documents with meticulous attention to detail, while analyzing and extracting key information
Lead and train contract review teams, implementing best practice
Communicate with clients, maintaining excellent communication skills and a professional and warm approach
Effectively and efficiently operate in a deadline driven environment, with high attention to detail, in order to meet client expectations
Contribute to building Factor’s proprietary Intellectual Property in the rapidly changing Managed Contracts Services business area
Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In addition to the above, here are the required skills, knowledge, capabilities, and education for this role:

  • Essential Criteria: 
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Independent experience of drafting and negotiating end-to-end ISDA, CSA and Repo agreements necessary
  • Client facing experience within a Professional Services firm and a strong focus on client needs
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong time management, judgment, decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Thrives in both individual and collaborative team environments
  • High-impact communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (including PowerPoint and Excel. MS Project experience highly advantageous)
  • Organizational fit for the Factor culture - exhibiting the core values of Authenticity, Accountability, Adaptability and Stewardship
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the role is located 

  • Desirable Criteria: 
  • Prime Brokerage experience

Additional Information
As a member of an ISO Compliant center, the candidate will be required to follow the policies and procedures on Information Security Management System in place at the Center of Excellence and globally at Factor. As a member of the Factor team, the applicant will have access to various company and client assets and will be required to maintain the level of security as identified for each asset.
