Position Summary:
This role can be based in either the Salt Lake City, UT or Durham, NC surrounding areas.
As an IS Business Analyst for Finance Applications, you will play a pivotal role in our team. You will serve as the bridge between our business stakeholders and Developers or other IS Business Analysts, becoming an expert in Finance processes and applications. Business Analyst roles within the IS team require education and/or experience specific to their respective business domain, application, or technology suite. For Finance domain, we look for a BA with expertise in Finance processes preferably Purchase-to-Pay or Order-to-Cash, and/or Sales / Use Tax. You will apply a comprehensive understanding of complex our ERP (SAP ECC FI-CO, SAP SRM) and/or other integrated Saas solutions to identify, design, implement, test, maintain and provide training for the new solutions supporting complex business processes.
- Identify/Design: Analyst will translate user needs into functional system requirements and is responsible to assess potential impact to the local and/or global solutions & to the community of application users.
- Implement/Test: Analyst customizes the system or communicates user requirements to development team and performs verification testing to ensure end-to-end business processes are working as expected and as efficiently as possible.
- Maintain/Train: Analyst is responsible to monitor business systems and resolve incidents as they occur to safeguard the integrity and efficiency of business processes. Analyst is responsible to train key business users on process execution and exception handling during projects.
- Project: Analyst may work on several IS related projects simultaneously. Projects may be local or global in nature. Analyst will interact with business teams, IS functional & technical teams, and/or project stakeholders to provide insight to relevant business systems and business process(es). Analyst is expected to contribute to project team in a productive and positive manner. Effective time management, analytical thinking, organization and communication skills are important for the role.
- Run: Analyst will work within established governance and operating model policies to provide effective IS support to business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux Quality System
Translate business requirements into functional system requirements (FRS documentation) and lead workshops to design, implement, test, and provide training of target solution(s)
Lead business systems validation process as required
Maintain business systems solutions through effective monitoring and incident resolution processes (Run Operating Model)
Provide excellent customer service and adhere to internal service and operational level agreements (SLA, OLA)
Prepare comprehensive functional documentation as needed
Contribute to change control governance and configuration management processes
Lead data quality and process improvement initiatives by using and modeling best practices, providing training and establishing and monitoring KPIs
Perform lead role in IS related projects
Identify risks to project deliverables and recommend and implement mitigation strategy as needed. Develop alternative solutions as required
Lead cross functional teams to ensure proper integration of business process and procedure requirements
Champion user adoption efforts related to new applications or solutions, change management processes, and support model
Lead collaboration efforts with local and global IS and business teams
Champion local strategic objectives while retaining strong global bonds
Continually update functional knowledge and skills
Be the go-to expert for Purchase-to-Pay Applications (SAP SRM Eproc, Basware and SAP FI-AP & BCM), Order-to-Cash Applications (SAP FSCM and FEBAN), and/or Sales / Use Tax applications (Onesource, Altares and SAP e-document)

Education, Skills, & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related Business fields (Ex. Finance or Purchasing) required

7+ years of experience in the IS Business Analyst required with Finance functional expertise preferably with Purchase-to-pay, Order-to-Cash process and/or Tax
- Highly preferred: 3 years of experience in the Finance industry with SAP or another ERP system
- Highly preferred: Experience leading a project that implements a new business process highly preferred
- Professional BA certifications preferred (CCAP, CCBA)
Experience in the implementation in one or several of our solutions or equivalent (SAP, eProc, Concur, Basware) as Key User or Change Manager or Consultant
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

The ability to work internationally across diverse cultures.
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
