We are seeking an experienced IoT Project Manager/Program Manager for a telecom operator with a specialized focus on Connectivity Management platforms, security solutions, and operations management software products. This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of IoT projects, ensuring the achievement of technical, operational, economic, financial, and business objectives within established schedules and budgets, and meeting quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing the technical and customer-facing aspects of IoT project management, working closely with customers and coordinating cross-functional teams across the company to successfully implement high-quality IoT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Strategic Alignment
- Define and develop detailed project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, aligning IoT initiatives with organizational goals in connectivity management, security solutions, and operational management.
- Establish project timelines, milestones, and budgets, incorporating financial, technical, and business objectives to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Design risk management strategies to proactively address potential issues, ensuring that projects stay on track with minimal disruption.
End-to-End Execution and Quality Management
- Lead and manage the execution of IoT projects, focusing on connectivity management platforms, security, and operations management, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
- Oversee and monitor project budgets and schedules, maintaining financial oversight and cost-effectiveness while adhering to approved financial and business parameters.
- Implement quality assurance practices throughout the project lifecycle, guaranteeing that all solutions meet established quality and safety standards.
Stakeholder and Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, ensuring that all project phases are aligned with customer expectations and that project objectives are clearly communicated and understood.
- Facilitate seamless coordination with company functions such as engineering, operations, and product development, ensuring consistent communication and collaborative execution of project plans.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and executive management, highlighting key progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies to ensure transparency and alignment.
Technical Expertise and Solution Innovation
- Maintain a deep understanding of IoT connectivity management, security, and operations management solutions, leveraging industry best practices to enhance project performance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement secure, scalable IoT solutions that meet both customer requirements and internal standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve project outcomes, using feedback and performance metrics to refine processes and solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on IoT, connectivity management, security, or software development.
- Proven track record in managing complex, high-stakes IoT projects involving connectivity and security, from planning through successful delivery.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or relevant certification is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of IoT connectivity management, security solutions, and operations management standards.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and data analysis software.
