Our partner, a leading workers' compensation insurance provider in Texas, is seeking an Investment Accountant II/III in Austin, TX. The Investments team plays a key role in maintaining the company’s financial stability. Responsibilities:
- Perform the monthly close process for the investment portfolio and reconcile the general ledger to the custodial bank.
- Prepare all Statutory and GAAP reporting for the company's investment portfolio, including quarterly and annual statutory statements and ad hoc reporting.
- Prepare month-end management and Board reports.
- Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of the investment portfolio.
- Monitor and report the investment portfolio’s compliance and regulatory issues.
- May manage commercial banking relationships, calculate the daily cash position, and authorize fund transfers.
- Analyze cash flow activity and prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as necessary for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- For the intermediate level position, at least 2-4 years of progressive investment accounting experience.
- For the senior level position, at least 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Analytical background and experience.
Preferred:
- CPA or MBA.
- Experience with an investment accounting package and Bloomberg.
- Insurance industry experience.

Compensation:
- Base Pay Range: $72,932.55 - $119,914.20 per year (based on market evaluation, experience, and qualifications).
- The total compensation package includes a generous bonus plan and flexible hybrid work model.
