Overview  

Electric is seeking an Inventory Specialist to significantly impact our organizational efficiency. Reporting to the Manager of the Hardware Lab, this role is dedicated to optimizing our inventory operations with a focus on maintaining accurate records and stock levels, and streamlining inventory flows. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming inventory while collaborating with our Service Desk team to answer customer questions related to their inventory. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to uphold inventory accuracy. 

What you’ll do

  • Ensure accuracy of IMS (Inventory Management System) for client devices stored at Electric’s on-site location
  • Receive incoming inventory shipments from vendors
  • Check shipment contents against packing lists, purchase orders, or invoices to verify accuracy
  • Check-in used devices sent to us from customers, ensuring that they are restored to factory settings (cleared of all data/information), cleaned, evaluated for hardware defects and properly entered into the IMS
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and logistics team to ensure stock availability meets business needs and demands
  • Resolution of inventory issues including but not limited to damaged goods, shortages, items not shipped
  • Conduct and compare routine physical counts of inventory, investigate and resolve any discrepancies found
  • Report issues and/or discrepancies to management
  • Provide support for the Logistics, Provisioning, Planning and Repairs Teams as needed
  • Life Cycle Management (LCM), tracking purchase dates, warranties, replacement options
  • Reporting and data, generate reports on inventory and usage trends
  • Ensure that stock movements, transfers, and adjustments are accurately reflected in the inventory system
  • Maintain detailed records and data reports on inventory audits, reconciliations, and adjustments made

Who you are

  • At least 1 year of experience in an IT, Inventory or Logistics role 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • A motivated self-starter, with proven abilities to take ownership of difficult projects and see them through to successful completion
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills, with proficiency in using spreadsheets and inventory management software
  • Flexible and adaptable, and exceptional communication and written skills
  • Strong security awareness and the ability to adhere to security measures effectively.
  • Have the ability and desire to work in office from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

Physical Requirements
This is a physical role that requires the ability to lift boxes, equipment, or inventory items, weighing up to 25 pounds. You must be comfortable with a mix of both computer and physical work and have the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, especially when physically handling and organizing inventory items.

Where?

We are headquartered in NYC, with an office in Denton, TX and remote locations across 24 states. Our largest markets outside of the Tri-State area and Dallas-Fort Worth area are San Diego, Denver, Raleigh.
