Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for remotely managing inventory and fulfillment operations executed by eJam’s third-party logistics (3PL) partners worldwide. This role ensures accurate, timely, and efficient order processing while maintaining alignment with internal teams. This is a high-impact position focused on operational oversight and collaboration, ensuring 3PL providers meet their SLAs and operate in line with eJam’s standards with a high inventory accuracy rate.
This is not a warehouse or delivery role but a strategic and operational position to manage inventory and fulfillment workflows through remote oversight. This role is fully remote, based in Argentina, and reports to the Logistics Manager.
What Your Day Will Look Like:
- Morning Reviews: Analyze overnight fulfillment metrics, identify SLA gaps, and coordinate with 3PL partners to resolve issues.
- Order Workflow Management: Monitor real-time order processing and escalate issues impacting fulfillment timelines.
- Inventory Oversight: Conduct periodic inventory audits and resolve discrepancies with 3PL providers.
- Collaboration: Join cross-departmental meetings to align on fulfillment strategies and operational bottlenecks.
- Reporting: Generate daily reports on 3PL performance and provide actionable recommendations for operational improvement.
- Improvements: Being creative to generate reports and workflows in order to mitigate any current issue or lack of visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfillment Oversight:
- Manage daily order workflows processed through 3PL partners, ensuring seamless execution of direct-to-consumer operations for 2,000+ daily orders.
- Monitor 3PL adherence to SLAs, including time to fulfill, time to ship, and time to deliver.
- Resolve fulfillment bottlenecks by coordinating with 3PL partners and internal teams.
- Inventory and Catalog Management:
- Collaborate with Product and Accounting teams to manage item set-up, costing calculations, and product catalog accuracy.
- Conduct inventory reporting, audits, and adjustments to ensure accurate inventory records with 3PL providers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Logistics Manager to align carrier costs, inventory locations, inventory and fulfillment efficiency strategies.
- Coordinate with Inventory, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment across operations.
- 3PL Performance Management:
- Oversee 3PL operational performance and provide feedback to ensure consistent SLA compliance.
- Develop and implement reporting mechanisms to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Technology and Reporting:
- Utilize tools like ShipStation, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and CommerceHub to manage fulfillment workflows and monitor operational performance.
- Prepare and present reports on SLA performance, inventory status, and fulfillment KPIs using advanced Excel skills.
Requirements
Required:
- 3+ years of experience managing inventory and fulfillment operations remotely through 3PL partners in a high-volume direct-to-consumer environment (2,000+ daily orders).
- Advanced proficiency with ShipStation, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and CommerceHub.
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Proven expertise in overseeing 3PL operational performance and SLA adherence.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage relationships remotely.
- Demonstrated success in inventory reporting and reconciliation.
Preferred:
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with carrier cost optimization and logistics strategies.
- Experience managing inventory cross-country with worldwide warehouse locations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Maintain 98%+ SLA compliance for time to fulfill, time to ship, and time to deliver.
- Achieve inventory discrepancy rates below 2%. Weekly follow up and measurement under 0.5%.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in product catalog updates and costing calculations.
- Provide weekly SLA performance reports with actionable insights.
- Resolve 100% of fulfillment-related escalations within 24 hours.
Salary:
- $2,000 - $3,000 / month (depending on experience)
