Role Objective
This role will provide the expertise in the area of inventory planning with objective of maximizing efficiency of inventory investment. Working closely with the various supply chain and sourcing functions globally the primary objective of the role is to build and develop data analytics to enable the inventory function to maintain the desired stock and fill rate across product categories and channels of sales and distribution.
Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:
To build, develop, and enhance inventory supply chain data analytics to maximize inventory investment efficiency, while maintaining desired in stock and fill rate percentages for all channels of sales and distribution

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Collaborating with cross-functional global teams to identify, collect, document, and maintain data analytics user requirements in the field of Inventory Management
- Responsible for designing and developing the database architecture and end user reporting for data visualization projects to analyze inventory performance, monitor KPIs and recommend necessary adjustments to enhance the overall system performance.
- Ensuring end-to-end data transformation and testing data models for inventory management system reporting to implement industry best practices.
- Preparing scripts to gather, arrange, and publish the inventory data in formats that facilitate data driven decision making in the inventory space.
- Analyze data and perform data crunching to address the Adhoc requests from the strategic level leadership to understand the data patterns and latest trends.
- Documenting standard operating procedures of data modelling for cross-functional collaboration.
- Parter with the inventory planning team to maintain accurate sales forecast and inventory investments; recognizes and responds to trends and seasonality.

Analyzes promotional and new item forecasts. Creates recommendations if forecasts are not consistent with available data.

Builds and utilizes available reporting to analyze inventory performance and monitor key performance indicators. Makes adjustments or provides recommendations to improve performance.

Identifies and makes recommendations for action on slow turning, non-working and obsolete inventory.

Collaborates with cross functional departments to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain through data insights.

Remains current in knowledge, use and understanding of inventory management software, enterprise resource planning software and on Company and industry best practices.

Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in merchandising planning, inventory management or related field.

At least 2 years of related analytics experience in Inventory management

Ability to interpret, analyze and present key inventory metrics.

Experience developing and building reports, KPIs, and data visualization – specifically in Power BI.

Strong analytical and organizational skills are required.

Strong personal computer skills, spreadsheet development abilities and working knowledge of designated software packages.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of company and vendor personnel.

Previous inventory management system software experience is preferred.
