Bellroy is hiring an

Inventory Planner & Analyst

Collingwood, Australia

IN A NUTSHELL

Our Demand and Supply Planning Team are responsible for our inventory health in 6 parent locations and 10 child locations from 4 supply locations around the world. We’re currently searching for an analytical thinker to join this team to help us maximise our inventory availability while minimising stock-holding and to create demand and supply plans to match factory capacity. This team thinks carefully about possibilities and is practised in building models, then using them to improve processes. If this sounds exciting to you, keep reading.

While we’re open to different backgrounds, you likely have a few years of inventory planning under your belt. You could also be a great fit if you’ve worked in analytics roles but wished you could apply your recommendations and experience the tangible effects of your analysis. Whatever your background, you’ll need to get a kick out of working with large datasets and be keen to use data to question, tweak and create processes to help drive us towards achieving our goals.

Bring us your analytical mind, data-wrangling skills and desire for continuous improvement. In return, we’ll offer you a supportive team to bounce off, autonomy to get things done and the tools you need to do your thing.

YOU’D MAKE A GREAT INVENTORY PLANNER & ANALYST IF YOU…

  • Have 3-5 years of experience working in a data-rich environment, with some experience sourcing data from different systems and making sure it’s clean (or cleaning it if necessary)
  • Are highly proficient in spreadsheets and have some exposure to and interest in SQL.
  • Can plan with precision and great attention to detail noticing when we’re getting off-track and proactively putting corrective actions in place
  • Seek to understand how things work, are interested in what is happening under the hood and able to question when something doesn’t make sense
  • Have a desire to work autonomously to build systems that work and update processes as improvements reveal themselves to you
  • Possess strong communication skills and can collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have been exposed to using tools such as Netsuite (ERP) and Looker (BI Tool)

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK, HERE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE...

  • Reviewed the inventory levels of our 6 parent warehouses and created transfer orders to balance inventory relative to demand at each location
  • Reviewed our Inventory Performance KPIs with your team and the Chief Business Officer
  • Worked with our Production Team to match an out-sized supply plan to factory capacity
  • Conducted a root-cause analysis on declining stock availability in Amazon Germany and implemented a fix
  • Collaborated with our Digital Sales team to allocate inventory for our Black Friday campaign
  • Noticed the oversized demand for a recently released product, requested updated projections from the sales team, updated the sales forecast and prepared an expedited purchase order
  • Identified a manual process that could be automated and collaborated with the Data Team to implement a solution
