This role will:
- Partner with Cost and Inventory Finance team to oversee the monthly and quarterly Close activities for Cost and Inventory. The partnership will entail performing SAP costing steps for Close including executing cost runs, analyzing PPV utilizing the Value Flow Monitor and Material Price Analysis, performing necessary cost adjustments via MR22, and validating and releasing actual cost/periodic unit price
- Monitor proper elimination of intercompany related balances stemming from intercompany stock transfer
- Prepare complete and accurate reconciliation of inventory accounts, goods receipts and invoice receipt accounts, and walk of inventory accounts and explain any anomalies
- Manage the team in shared service center who performs the close work related to cost and inventory (e.g., journal entry preparation, account and data reconciliations). Grow and develop the capability of the shared service center by delegating stabilized processes and providing adequate training and supervision.
- Operationalize the accounting process by designing manual journal entries or advising on system configuration/process to support changes in business environment and manage changes to the stabilization.
- Continuously monitor best practices and drive process and system improvements for transactions and processes
- Collaborate with IT and Cost and Inventory Finance team as an accounting expert in the system and process enhancement projects. The on-going projects where immediate contributions are required include enhancement in intercompany profit in inventory accounting configuration, set up of legal and group valuation configuration, and Cost breakdown reporting
- Lead coordination of support both Internal and External audit requests and testing and ensuring compliance with key SOX controls.
- Work regularly in SAP FICO modules. Prior experience in cost management, SAP systems, and/or cost and inventory accounting is required.

Characteristics required to be successful in this role:
- Strong knowledge of cost management, accounting principles, financial reporting, and inventory valuation methods
- Strong SAP FICO acumen and proficiency using key cost and inventory reports
- A comprehensive understanding and command of end to end process for inventory and cost
- Strong knowledge of accounting operations related to intercompany stock transfer, intercompany profit in inventory and eliminations. The experience in legal and group valuation configuration in SAP is a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of transactions in various currencies to ensure the impact of currency fluctuations are correctly accounted for
- Thorough understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
- Process management expertise and proven track record of driving process efficiencies

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with 5-7 years of applicable experience, or a Masters, MBA, or CPA with 3-5 years of applicable experience.
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $105,980 to $186,670. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
