About the Role
We are seeking an Interoperability Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing interoperability solutions between Innovaccer, Epic Systems, and other healthcare applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Epic Systems, Epic Clarity database, interoperability standards, and healthcare data exchange protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement interoperability solutions between Innovaccer and Epic Systems using standards such as HL7, FHIR, and IHE
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize interoperability needs
- Develop and maintain interfaces, APIs, and data mappings to facilitate seamless data exchange
- Troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Epic Systems experts to ensure compliance with Epic's interoperability standards
- Develop and maintain Epic Clarity database queries and reports to support interoperability solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Epic Systems development, integration, or interoperability
- Strong understanding of Epic Systems, including Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle
- Experience with Epic Clarity database, including data modeling, querying, and reporting
- Experience with interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and IHE
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Experience with API development and data mapping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with healthcare data exchange protocols such as CCD, C-CDA, and DICOM
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Certification in Epic Systems development or interoperability
