We have rebranded public affairs to advisory to better capture the evolution and future of this sector. Advisory services combine business strategy, government affairs, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and political risk analysis to help clients navigate changing political and economic dynamics. Joining the EGA team will provide team members with the opportunity to be involved in the building of this growing firm—from creating a new culture, to redefining public affairs services, to exploring new services, such as data analytics and political risk analysis—across the regions where we operate: APAC, MENA, Europe, North America, Latin America, and India. About our internship:
The Edelman Global Advisory (EGA) team is looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join our Internship Programme and work alongside our world-class team. An internship with EGA will provide you with an unforgettable experience in a fast-paced, political, and international environment; it will provide a comprehensive introduction to the work of the largest public relations consulting firm in the world and help you develop a core skill set to support you in your future career.
Your contribution to the team:
At EGA, interns are an integral part of our teams, and they play a key role in supporting our busy team of first-class consultants with the implementation of strategic programmes that help our clients navigate the changing world. Throughout the programme, you will have the opportunity to experience and get stuck into a broad range of tasks and projects including, but not limited to:
The role;
- Drafting briefing material for clients
- Monitor political announcements and parliamentary activity
- Support political engagement programmes, including creating stakeholder maps, outreaching to relevant offices and handling logistical arrangements
- Develop biographical and policy briefings including conducting research to inform these documents
- Support with event management, including liaising with MPs’ offices, co-ordinating with the parliamentary events team and third-party suppliers as well as handling the logistics
- Build relationship with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Supporting with ad-hoc research tasks including but not limited to new business opportunities, policy briefings, events and speaking slots
- Assist in event planning
- Working with junior team members to ensure accurate account administration
