International Home School Teacher

Full-Time

We are working with a private family to carry out a search for an excellent Home School Teacher to be based in Singapore and the South of France.

This role will involve frequent international travel with the family to ensure the continuity of high quality education for their children wherever they are in the world.

The family has four children, all aged four, who they are looking to home school at least from now through to the end of primary/elementary school and possibly beyond.

The family is keen to build a lasting relationship with an excellent teacher who they will welcome into their homes and lives, while respecting each other's privacy as well as the need for work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, high trust positive relationships with both parents and all four children
  • Create and deliver a highly engaging curriculum for the children, taking into account their individual needs, across a variety of subjects, focusing on developing their curiosity about the world, their creativity and problem solving skills, and instilling in them a joy of learning
  • Collaborate with parents to develop and maintain effective communication and partnership
  • Monitor and assess student performance, adjusting teaching methods as needed
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on each student's progress
  • Develop appropriate, high impact enrichment opportunities (utilising the natural environment) for learning beyond the classroom
  • Adapting learning opportunities appropriately according to students' progress and the needs of the family
  • Accompanying the family on their international travels, splitting their time between Singapore and the South of France

Requirements

  • Teaching qualification/certification or equivalent
  • Prior experience teaching in a home-school setting
  • Familiarity with international curricula and educational systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
  • An interest in interdisciplinary learning and developing the whole child through holistic approaches to education
  • The chosen candidate will be highly trustworthy, very dedicated, discreet and diligent
  • Masters qualifications, the ability to speak multiple languages, the ability to play musical instruments and/or sporting interests are all desirable but not essential for this role.
