Position: Temporary Supported Living Manager

Location: Carmarthenshire
Duration: 12-months Maternity Cover

About the role:

The successful candidate will oversee a group of services that cater to individuals with diverse needs. This includes supporting people who are non-verbal and require strong communication skills, those needing manual handling assistance, and very active individuals who enjoy engaging in community activities and recreational pursuits. The role involves leading an established team of support workers, with the assistance of an Assistant Manager, offering clear and concise guidance to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality support. They will work alongside experienced Supported Living Managers (SLMs) and will have the Regional Manager (RM) as their direct line manager for additional support.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of supported living services
  • Ensuring high-quality care and support for residents
  • Managing and supporting staff
  • Liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Managing financial resources and ensuring budget compliance
  • Promoting community integration and maximizing opportunities for people we support
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Conducting regular staff supervisions and appraisals
  • Leading team meetings and addressing any issues of concern
  • Acting as a positive role model and providing hands-on support as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-years experience in supported living setting
  • Hold a Level 2 QCF in Adult health Care (Level 3 preferred)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Valid UK driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
