As an Internal Sales Executive at Marley based at our Head Office in Burton on Trent you will optimise sales & promote our products and services across new and existing customers.

What's the Mission?

Reporting to our National Account Manager with a dotted line to Head of Customer Services you’ll be at the heart of our sales strategy, playing a crucial role in:

  • Cultivating and strengthening relationships with existing account customers.
  • Proactively hunting for, acquiring, and retaining new and existing channel partners.
  • Identifying fresh opportunities for channel sales and leads, and successfully converting them into tangible results.
  • Gaining deep insights into market supply chains and pricing, and leveraging this knowledge to enhance our pricing strategies and follow-up processes.
  • Engaging in high-quality, purposeful conversations that are strategically planned to boost sales.
  • Generating valuable opportunities through strong relationships, feeding our external sales team with actionable leads.
  • Taking ownership of complaints, supporting both the Sales and Customer Service teams to create a smoother customer journey and improve our NPS score.
  • Demonstrating exceptional organization and time management skills to efficiently plan and execute your tasks.

Not only that, this role also offers the potential to develop into Specification opportunities over time –for example completing sample follow ups, targeted CPD bookings for the external sales team & business development activity on renewables.

What are the mission critical skills needed

We are looking to speak with you if you offer previous experience and a successful track record building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, recognizing and capitalizing on sales opportunities, account management, driving business development, and securing new business.

  • Bring Industry Expertise is highly desirable - Possess a solid background in business or the building/construction industry, with proven experience in engaging with diverse customer types
  • Negotiate Effectively - Demonstrate strong negotiating skills that lead to win-win outcomes.
  • Learn Rapidly - Show a keen aptitude for learning, adapting quickly to new challenges and opportunities.
  • Analyze with Precision - you will have the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions.
  • Communicate with Impact - Be an excellent communicator across all levels, from team members to clients.
  • Leverage Technology - Possess a good level of computer literacy, coupled with strong organizational skills to streamline tasks and communication.
  • Manage Projects Efficiently - Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to effectively manage workloads and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
