Internal Recruitment Manager – Salford Quays, Hybrid Working 

Marlowe Fire & Security Group are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Internal Recruitment Manager based out of our Salford Quays offices with the option for flexible hybrid working as required.

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Internal Recruitment Manager…..

Will work closely with the Group HR Director to deliver comprehensive and effective recruitment activities in line with the ACE People Plan 2024 - 2027. This role will manage a small team of dedicated internal recruitment specialists to ensure comprehensive support within the recruitment process, delivering the full range of recruitment and onboarding activities to a high standard. This role will continue to ensure the recruitment function is fit for purpose and reflects the ambition of the group to be the employer of choice within the Fire life safety and security industry.

  • Create a Recruitment project plan to support the development of this growing function. This must be in line with the ACE People Plan.
  • Continuous review and development of recruitment process maps, with all stages of the recruitment journey fully explored and best practice processes incorporated at each stage in the applicant journey.
  • Ensure excellent recruitment fulfilment including the management of all recruitment processes, including advertising roles, shortlisting and working with hiring managers to progress candidates through the selection process
  • Management of our Application Tracking System, Workable, to ensure we are getting the most out of the platform and we are working effectively with this key partner.
  • Identify the best fit advertising avenues through Workable for all our roles, utilise our social media platforms effectively (including LinkedIn) and our main job board sites for both advertising and headhunting good candidates
  • Review the most effective and up to date selection processes, including managing effective interview notes, candidate videos, tests and questionnaires and any other ad-hoc processes
  • Management of headhunting activities for specialist and senior roles
  • Manage our Preferred Supplier List, ensuring we have a process which is robust to manage our agency partners, but also flexible to the changing needs of our hiring managers. Work effectively with senior stakeholder, where local recruitment activity is most effective.
  • Ongoing troubleshooting to identify challenges and areas of concern within the current ways of working, and work with the team of Internal Recruitment Specialists to develop improvements and changes.
  • Ensure that current legislation regarding equal opportunities is robustly adhered to and as the gatekeeper to all new starters, you are an ambassador of diversity and inclusion within the business
  • The role will be responsible for managing and reporting on key resourcing analytics meeting core KPI’s and resourcing deliverables in this busy national business.
  • Work with the Learning and Development Manager to evolve and develop the onboarding process across the group ensuring there is consistency.
  • Develop a robust Recruitment Policy ensuring this is adhered to by recruiting managers

  • Internal Recruitment experience is essential, ideally the preferred candidate will also have worked within an agency environment
  • Experience with the full inhouse recruitment process from approved requisition to candidate onboarding
  • Budget Management
  • Exposure to a complex business model, recruiting across multi-disciplined roles from Entry-level to Director
  • Experience of working in volume recruitment
  • Resilience
  • Someone who has used the Workable ATS platform would be a significant advantage, however the ability to demonstrate the understanding of any similar ATS infrastructure and development would be considered.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as mandatory.
