Your New Chapter
At VetPartners, we pride ourselves on delivering shared services support that drives success for our veterinary clinics. The Internal Communications Manager will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our internal communication strategy, ensuring that our employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s mission, values, and strategic objectives. This role will oversee all internal communication channels, content development, and employee engagement initiatives including wellbeing and DEI to foster a diverse, safe and collaborative culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with VetPartners’ mission, vision, and business goals.
  • Lead, manage, and inspire Support Office and Clinic leaders ensuring high-quality and consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Design and execute effective communication plans for key company initiatives, including important events and initiatives, awards and recognition, organizational changes, and business updates.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, HR, and other departments to develop messaging that supports a cohesive and consistent internal narrative.
  • Create and manage content for various internal channels, including newsletters, intranet, emails, town halls, videos, and employee events including posting frequently on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and TikTok
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts through regular surveys, feedback sessions, and other methods, using data to continuously improve engagement strategies.
  • Drive initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, reinforcing company values and fostering a sense of community among employees for example, hosting DEI council meetings to support its Chair and members, leading and facilitating a community of Mental Health First Aid staff.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on internal communication best practices and emerging trends.
  • Manage recognition platform and drive internal/external campaigns to promote our culture of appreciation
Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related roles, preferably within the animal health, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a communications strategy.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of internal communication tools, platforms, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Passion for animal health and a commitment to advancing the well-being of animals.
