Job Description
We’re looking for our first dedicated Internal Communications Manager who will be responsible for enabling all Byndies to excel in their roles as they are pro actively and structurally informed and engaged with Bynder's overall strategy and objectives. Reporting to the CHRO and working closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team, you’ll design, plan, manage, execute, and optimize integrated employee campaigns to generate alignment and focus throughout the organization. On top you will identify which internal activities, events and communications can amplify the Bynder brand externally and work with PR and Social marketing to get the message out.
Key Responsibilities:
The ultimate goal of an Internal Communications function is to empower all employees, including leadership, to excel in their roles and to align their efforts with the organization’s objectives. To achieve this you will work closely with key stakeholders, including our leadership team and our Marketing team, to ensure that all internal communications are clear, consistent and aligned with the company’s goals and values. This is achieved through several key activities:
Establish the Internal Communications function
- Develop and lead the implementation of the internal communications strategy for the organization, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant
Vision and Strategy Alignment
- Align employees around organizational goals by providing crucial information, context, and leadership insights.
- Partner with leadership to communicate the company’s Vision and Strategy effectively.
- Help employees see how their roles and contributions support the overarching Vision and Strategy.
- Develop and maintain compelling narratives and materials that articulate the Vision and Strategy.
- Use storytelling to showcase how the business is achieving its goals, ensuring regular updates are aligned with the strategic direction.
Channel Management
- Work to ensure that important information flows seamlessly across the organization.
- Establish and oversee a variety of communication channels, including collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Confluence).
- Support the organization and management of company-wide events (e.g., All Hands meetings, Kick-Off meetings) to keep employees informed.
Leadership Communication
- Facilitate consistent and impactful communication from leadership, including regular updates from the CEO.
- Build trust and enhance the visibility of leaders within the organization.
- Support leaders in effectively conveying key messages and engaging with employees.
Change Management and Crisis Communication
- Provide clear and thoughtful communication during times of change or crisis.
- Ensure employees are well-informed about major changes, such as leadership transitions, security incidents, and organizational restructures.
- Communicate key messages and rationales effectively to maintain trust and clarity.
Employee Advocacy and Brand Ambassadorship
- Support internal marketing initiatives and foster employee engagement.
- Run internal campaigns to keep employees informed about the latest developments and to encourage them to act as brand and product ambassadors.
Culture
- Develop and promote initiatives that strengthen and reflect the company’s culture.
- Create programs and communications that support and reinforce desired cultural values and behaviors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in internal communications, preferably in a fast-paced B2B SaaS company
- Deep understanding of change management processes
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with content creation and delivery (i.e. Slack, email, collaboration software, content, videos, and presentations)
- Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A data driven approach with a culture of experimentation.
- A demonstrable track record of implementing successful internal communication strategies
