Internal Communications Manager (12 month+ FTC)

Hybrid - 2 days a week in office, time split between Cardiff & London offices.

June start date - 12 months + Fixed term contract.

This is a maternity cover role to lead RVU’s internal communications programme at an exciting time in our development. You will own company-wide internal communications with an emphasis on promoting strategic alignment as well as building culture and employee engagement. We operate across three offices in the UK with a portfolio of different consumer brands. You’ll report directly to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member overseeing corporate communications and while owning the programme in this standalone role, you’ll work with event-specific teams and employee groups pulled from across the organisation to deliver key moments and projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the migration from Workplace by Meta (our current internal communications platform) to a new platform
  • Owning and delivering a communications strategy that emphasises culture and employee engagement across multiple teams in different locations across the UK
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to produce and align communications in line with RVU’s objectives and culture
  • Running our communications eco-system including tools, platforms and ceremonies to drive a consistent employee experience regardless of leader or location. In other words, ensuring that all employees get the information they need, when they need it, where they prefer to get it
  • Oversee key company events including all employee meetings and larger scale events twice a year
  • Developing great relationships with key contacts across the business to ensure the seamless flow of information and knowledge sharing
  • Crafting and consulting with the leadership team on delivering impactful comms

What you'll bring to the role:

  • A passion for internal communications, either in a fast-paced organisation or in an agency that’s consulting one
  • A great role model for our culture, acting with urgency to make things happen balanced with deploying rigour in our decision-making
  • Compelling and versatile written communicator
  • Ability to work at pace and to oversee outstanding delivery of multiple projects
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver communications strategies and plans across multiple channels and audiences
  • Experience in managing and delivering change communications
  • Demonstrable evidence of positively influencing employee engagement
  • A strong ability to positively challenge and influence at all levels of the business
