Location: The successful candidate may be based in a country where one of the independent National/Regional Greenpeace organisations (NRO’s) is located. See the locations here. [Please note that we are currently unable to host new staff in a number of NRO's at this present time, due to various restrictions. We are unable to support hosting in Africa, Colombia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, India, US, UK, MED, and MENA in addition to some other NRO locations. Greenpeace International is looking for two Internal Communications Specialists to implement our internal communication and staff engagement strategy across the global organisation. You will work under the supervision of the IED (International Executive Director) Influencer & Communications Manager to ensure strong alignment and delivery of Greenpeace’s organisational story internally, fostering an empowered, informed, and enabled global Greenpeace Network.

In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development of the internal communication and staff engagement strategy and objectives, translating them into concrete communication plans.

  • Develop KPIs and communication metrics to measure engagement and inform future strategies.

  • Work closely with key Greenpeace 'influencers’ involved in internal and external-facing communication.

  • Implement the communication and engagement strategy, ensuring alignment and coordination across the organisation for initiatives related to staff engagement, including staff satisfaction, ED&I (Equity, Diversity & Inclusion), and change processes.

  • Draft internal messaging for Greenpeace International staff and the wider global network, including communication support for key organisational initiatives.

  • Produce and use various communication tools and channels to enhance internal messaging, ensuring consistency, relevance, and inclusivity.

  • Develop tools, frameworks, and best practices to help staff better understand and share organisational objectives.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, peers, and internal influencers.

  • Develop analytics tools to measure and provide recommendations for continual improvement in internal communications based on performance metrics and staff feedback.
