Intern - Talent Acquisition/Employer Brand (Mountain View)

We are hiring an Intern for our Talent Acquisition  team at Lightmatter! We are a photonic computer company redefining what computers and human beings are capable of by building the engines that will power discoveries and drive progress in a sustainable way. With modern human progress relying heavily on computers, the world has hit a dead end with traditional transistors, and the prospect of constantly building data centers is an environmental nightmare. Lightmatter has created a solution in photonic computing: using photons instead of electrons to take advantage of their higher bandwidth. We build chips for artificial intelligence computing. Our architecture leverages the unique properties of light to enable fast and efficient inference and training engines.

In this internship opportunity, you will work as part of the Talent Acquisition team.

• Social Media Content: Lead the creation and execution of social media campaigns specifically designed for the Talent Acquisition (TA) team.
• Career Site Refresher: Collaborate on the research, creation of the specs, and mockup for enhancement of the career site project.
• Preparation of Interview Materials: Assist in the creation of comprehensive interview materials to streamline the selection process.
• HR Project Support: Contribute to various HR projects with a focus on employee engagement and process improvement.
• Develop internal communication plan aligned with 2024 culture initiatives and D&I awareness.
• Research and identify job specific competencies by job family, validate with HRBP and Managers, then document in job descriptions. 
• Assist with drafting an Affirmative Action Plan.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in undergrad or graduate-level: Marketing, Communications, or a related field, with a keen interest in HR, Talent Acquisition, and employer branding
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced setting while ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes
• Proficient in professional written and verbal communication
• Competent in Google Suite, LinkedIn, and social media

We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role, inclusive of all US locations, is $25-$38/hr. Your hourly pay will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
