Internships @ Wealthsimple
At Wealthsimple, we offer 4 to 8-month internships that are open to co-op and non-co-op students, and recent grads. During your remote-first internship, you will be able to contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians. You will be on a team that supports your growth and provides mentorship while also connecting to the broader Wealthsimple community! 

Eligibility
✔ Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp
✔ New graduates - Within 6 months of your graduation date
✔ Available to work full-time hours
✔ Residing in Canada

Security @ Wealthsimple
The Wealthsimple Security organization champions the mandate of protecting our clients’ data and Wealthsimple’s products and infrastructure. We believe that security should be built into the fabric of everything we do, across all domains, products, and teams. The team protects the systems that help hundreds of thousands of users manage billions of dollars in assets. Security is supported by a number of different teams including Security Risk & Compliance, Application Security and Posture Management, Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure Security, and Security Shared Services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in the management of Wealthsimple’s security compliance efforts by helping validate relevant controls 
  • Support oversight over IT Risk Management program by helping triage and manage IT/Security risks 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement controls, policies, and procedures as required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and remediate control deficiencies against established deliverables and timelines
  • Build credibility with various stakeholders, through prompt responsiveness, collaborative and innovative thinking
  • Evaluate and communicate control results, best practices, and risks to stakeholders
  • Leverage our compliance management tool to help provide meaningful analytics of our current security risk & compliance posture

  • Process/Project Management: skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished
